so, i've finally realized a long-standing dream... to pick-up a proper battle rifle in .308 Winchester. between this and the 1911, the 590A1, and assorted varmint rifles, i feel like we really are prepared for absolutely any eventuality that may ever come along in the absolute worst of times. it's not like i'm preparing for the zombies and robots to arrive tomorrow or anything, indeed my primary concerns stem from rising restrictions (and thus rising prices) on defensive harware. i feel confident now that anything else i may wish to acquire in the future will be almost classifiable as luxury guns, not essential guns. i can obtain those regardless of price as money permits over time. after a move to PA, a bunch of 20-round mags for this rifle will round things out nicely.
